Privacy Policy
How LexPro Egypt collects, uses and protects personal data, and who is responsible for it.
Privacy Policy – LexPro Egypt
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and the LexPro software, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.
1. Who We Are
LexPro is operated by LinkMasr (linkmasr.com), a simple partnership officially registered in Egypt since 2009 under Commercial Register No. 390226 (Cairo) and Tax Registration No. 329-564-897, at Ahmed El-Sawy St., Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt.
LinkMasr is the party responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Scope
This policy covers:
- This website, www.lexproegypt.com, including its contact and subscription forms;
- The LexPro legal management software and its related products, including LexPro IP;
- The support help desk we provide to subscribers.
It does not cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.
3. Information We Collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, firm name and the content of your message when you use a contact, demo or subscription form.
- Account information. The credentials and profile details of each user created in the software.
- Technical information. IP address, browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected when you browse the site.
- Information your firm enters into the software. Case, client, document and financial records created by your firm while using LexPro. See section 6.
4. How We Use Information
- To answer enquiries and arrange demonstrations;
- To create, operate and support your subscription;
- To keep the service secure and investigate misuse;
- To improve the website and the software;
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations in Egypt.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
5. Legal Basis
We process personal data to perform the contract you enter into with us, to comply with Egyptian law — including Law No. 151 of 2020 on the Protection of Personal Data — to pursue our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and, where the law requires it, on the basis of your consent.
6. Data Your Firm Enters Into the Software
Records your firm creates in LexPro — clients, cases, documents, intellectual property portfolios and related material — belong to your firm. Your firm decides what is entered and who may see it; we hold and process that data on your instructions in order to provide the service, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
Where that data concerns your own clients, your firm remains responsible towards them, including for professional confidentiality.
7. Sharing and Service Providers
We share personal data only with providers who help us run the service, and only as far as they need it:
- Hosting. Our servers and backups.
- Email delivery. To send account, support and notification messages.
- Google. We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from automated abuse, and Google analytics and search tools to understand how the site is used. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose data where we are required to by Egyptian law or by a competent court or authority.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — for example to remember your language and keep you signed in — and analytics cookies that help us see which pages are used. Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies on pages that carry a form. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site may then not work properly.
9. Data Security
Access to the software is protected by individual accounts and permissions, traffic is encrypted in transit, and we take regular backups. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affects your data we will act on it and inform you as the law requires.
10. Data Retention
We keep enquiry and form data for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for our records. We keep subscription and accounting records for the period Egyptian law requires. Data your firm enters is kept for as long as your subscription is active; after it ends we will, on request, return or delete it, subject to any retention the law imposes on us.
11. Your Rights
Subject to Egyptian law, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- Delete data we no longer have a reason to keep;
- Restrict or object to a particular use;
- Withdraw consent where our use rests on it.
We may need to verify your identity before acting. Write to us using the details in section 14.
12. Children
LexPro is a professional tool for law firms and legal departments. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page; where a change is significant we will make that clear.
